Help Feed Hundreds Of Stray Dogs & Cats During The Second Wave Of COVID-19
Feel free to ask Campaigner for a new update on this Fundraiser.
Project
Stray dogs and cats are often left to fend for themselves. They usually rely on marketplaces, butcher shops, restaurants, and eateries for their daily meals. If they are lucky, they come across animal lovers who do their best to feed them regularly. But the pandemic had made the situation worse last year. So many stray animals have had no access to clean drinking water and food. In those dire times, hundreds came forward to help these voiceless animals.
Unfortunately, the recent surge in COVID cases have brought back the nightmare. With curfews and lockdowns in almost all states, their sources of food supply have been cut off, leaving them hungry and distressed. The locals who used to feed them on a regular basis are now unable to do so because of the restrictions.
In case you do go out and feed the strays in your vicinity, make sure to keep the following tips in mind:
Feed them what's right
Human food that is heavy on oil and spice is a big no-no. Chocolates, onion, garlic, grapes, raisins, any dough made with yeast, sugary items, candies etc. are all potentially toxic to dogs.
Don’t throw food at them
It’s important to learn how to feed them. Make sure to lay food on the ground and avoid throwing food at them or towards them from a distance, from a vehicle or from your balcony.
Give them fresh water
Provide them with fresh water as it keeps them hydrated and promotes kidney and urinary tract health. Also, make sure to double up on it in the summer.
In case you are unable to go out and feed the strays, then you can help us with our initiative. This is your chance to help hungry strays from the safety and comfort of your home. Every single donation will make a difference, So, don’t miss the chance to contribute to wagging tails!
Strays are already fending for themselves, therefore, during stressful times, it is only fair that we make a conscious effort to help them.
